In 2022, new investors and team members were brought in to transform the company into Stone Canyon AI, pivoting to leverage artificial intelligence for content creation and high-quality lead delivery. Jody has served as Chief Administration Officer since August 2023, overseeing the company's operations and strategic direction.
Jody's entrepreneurial journey is one of the most remarkable origin stories among Power100 partners. A technology and content entrepreneur since 1999, he founded Kentucky WebWorks, Inc. at just 22 years old — an innovative web development company. That same year, he created an ecard, humor, and 'funpages' website that amassed over 2 million subscribers and was ranked in the Alexa top 200 websites in the world. The site built hundreds of pages of viral content with single-page views exceeding 30 million — numbers that were extraordinary for the early internet.
After a seven-figure exit in 2000, Jody co-founded FriendTest, Inc. with Christian Walter in 2003, where they developed viral content at scale. Together, Jody and Christian launched The Laugh Network and The Thumbs Up Network, consisting of dozens of high-traffic websites that amassed around 10 million users. They sold the group of businesses in 2005, and Jody continued managing thousands of domains and hundreds of websites between 2008 and 2012.
