“When I was growing up and in high school, I had my own substance issues, which I overcame,” he explained. “I worked in construction and actually put on a couple of roofs myself. Some of those very same people I put roofs on with 20 or 30 years ago aren’t here today because of the same things I was blessed to be able to overcome with a support system. What we want to do is provide that kind of support system for those who may not have it. This outing is a great example of what that puts together.”
